About Us

Brother Mutien-Marie is a Vocational Training school founded in 2001 in Mbalmayo by Brother Eugene LY. We are a career development Center.
Career development in Africa is the best solution to create a strong potential work force, and to assist in building a place where we can instill techniques to avoid the temptation for migration. In our institution, students spend half of the time in laboratories and their remaining time in social science; technology studies. Our goal is to provide for every single student who has spent two - four years in our school an opportunity to earn a living for himself and his family. Service has been provided for approximately 1000 student in a time span of 20 years. Our last survey in 2011 revealed 4 out of 5 students who graduated from our center, were working or continuing their education.  Dedication and diligence with support from the government agencies and business, have granted the ability for our students to be placed in internship programs which further advance them towards a promising career. We try to achieve the goal of self-sufficiency but sometimes we run short. Each year the Lasallian Volunteers of Cameroon Association has to raise 25% of our center annual budget from different sources other than our income tuition.
